St Mary’s is a fair trade Church.
All of the tea and coffee served following the services and at our special events is fair trade. We have a fair trade stall following the Church service every Sunday which sells everything from tea and chocolate to toilet rolls and gifts. All of our sales support the producers and ensure that they get a fair price for their products. This can make a huge difference to their lives and help them out of poverty.
What does Fairtrade do?
Fairtrade works with farming co-operatives, businesses and governments to make trade fair.
Together with Fairtrade farmers and workers, we have a vision: a world in which trade is based on fairness so that producers earn secure and sustainable livelihoods.
