We’re pleased to be introducing a new series of reflective meetings, once a month during July, August & September. Each month there will be a different guest speaker giving a short talk, with the opportunity for questions & reflection afterwards.
The guest speaker for August13th will be the Reverend Caroline Beckett from All Saints and St James Brightlingsea. The theme will be around Faith and Church. I am sure there will be a number of points we can reflect on, sharing different thoughts and views. Everyone is welcome there will be tea/coffee/cold drinks and biscuits.
On 23rd July, we enjoyed meeting Kate Wainer, who is a Religious Education teacher in a London school. She shared her experience of teaching Religious Studies to students from different cultures and religions & we enjoyed discussing the challenges and opportunities of introducing religion & ethics to teenage children.
Everyone is welcome, refreshments provided too. Please arrive at 6.45, for a 7pm start. We anticipate the evening will last 90 minutes.
